Arkansas Valley Music and Dance is committed to promoting and organizing community-building events that fuse traditional live music with lively dancing in Buena Vista, Salida, and Leadville, Colorado. AVMAD and other related events are posted on our calendar. Join Us for a Weekend to Celebrate Our Dance Community - February 26th - 28th, 2010
AVMAD welcomes Country Dance and Song Society to Salida the last weekend of February! We have our non-profit status through CDSS and share in their desire of "keeping the traditions alive . . . linking those who love them." Fifteen CDSS board members are coming to the Upper Arkansas Valley to get to know our community - let's show off what fun we have!

The weekend will include potlucks, socializing, playing music, and a variety of forms of dancing: couple, contra, English Country. For a complete schedule of events and map to venues, click here.

We are looking for people willing to house our incredible visitors. Please contact Dvora if you have a room/bed/couch available the nights of February 26th and 27th. We are also looking for other volunteers to support the weekend of events - please email Eleanor if you're interested.

Volunteer or Donate
AVMAD is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Events are volunteer run. Call Eleanor at 719-221-2074 if you're interested in volunteering. All donations are tax-deductible and support traditional dance and music opportunities in the Arkansas Valley.

Annual membership (January - December) is $35/person/year. We are still discussing a household membership.
